I agree. I think that the thing that killed the PVP was the Hero's. Now you do not need to play with 8 people only with 2. That is not exactly Mulit Player

I lol'd.

I'd estimate 70,000 people, and at least 1/10 of those are at some outpost or town.

There definitely is some disparity in where people tend to be, but overall, at least the PvE side, still has a strong player base.

If you are a new player, the game isn't quite dead but it's health isn't too good. There are a few things to keep in mind.

- because the game is now spread over 3 campaigns plus an expansion, and there are not as many active players as there was, there are not as many people in any one outpost as there used to be.

- although there are still people looking to form groups in many of the outposts, much of the time they are looking for something particular like "Norn faction farming", or Hard Mode vanquishing, or whatever, and not so much just wanting to do a particular quest or mission.

Therefore, it's best to join an active Guild in order to have a better chance of forming a group. In addition (or instead), you need to learn how to equip and use Heroes and Henchmen.

EotN, NF, and Factions means that there's a lot of places to be for a reasonably sized, if not all that large, playerbase to be.

Umbral Grotto, Kaineng Center, Temple of the Ages, Kamadan, and Lion's Arch still remain popular spots to get your ping into the 2k range because there's so many people.

Also, a lot of you are forgetting guild halls. I know whenever I log in there's about 5-10 people in my guild hall, getting ready to do something or having just done something.
